Questions About Owning a Race Horse

So you want to be part of the action?  You want to be involved in the Sport of Kings?  Do you dream of standing in the winner's circle on the first Saturday in May?  We can make you race horse dreams come true....

Owning a thoroughbred race horse can be a fun, exciting hobby that has return on the investment. The easiest way to obtain a race horse is via a claim.  It is also the quickest way to see your purchase in action.  There are partnerships forming right now to claim horses.  Other than claiming, you can buy a horse at one of the many sales for yearlings and horses in training. Tim will also be at many Yearling sales and various Two Year Old in training sales to purchase horses. He also has many contacts to privately purchase a thorougbred for you or a partnership .

Isn't it expensive to claim, buy or just to even own a race horse?

There are a wide range of claiming prices that start as low as $4,000 and rise to $100,000.  If you still think $4,000 and the monthly training bill isn't in your price range, going partners and spliting the cost is a option. There is no limit to the number of partners when owning a horse.  Your horse doesn't have to win every race to make you money. Horses that consistently pick up checks by finishing in the top 5 in a race help pay for themselves.  Even if your horse wins at the bottom level for claimers, you can net a nice profit each month after paying your training bill.
